The XVI DBMC will invite papers from the participants to reflect the state-of-art of the knowledge and practice on the relavant themes of conference. These papers will be invited separately for a special issue of Civil Engineering Sciences, partner journal of Science. The submission requirements can be found on the website of the journal.

1. Oral presentation

The time allocated for each presenting author in the parallel sessions is 15min, including oral presentation of 12min and Q&A of 3min. Please prepare your oral presentation according to this time limit. To get the best visual effect, we suggest you adopt the aspect ratio 16:9 for your presentation. The oral presentation should be prepared and communicated in English.

Upon your arrival at DBMC conference venue, we suggest you test your oral presentation before your parallel session. A technical room is reserved all along the conference for the check of presentation. The location of technical room can be found in the detailed conference program.

At least a half day before your parallel session, please copy your presentation onto the conference computer in the session room with the assistance of the supporting team.  Should you have protected content in your presentation file, please make the support team aware. The support team will help you to handle the copied presentation file properly. Just before your session, please report you to your session chair to make him/her aware of your presence, especially when the presenter is different from the recorded oral presenter of your paper.

2. Poster presentation

The authors can use the poster templates through the link below. The poster templates are provided in format of MS PPT in portrait orientation in A1 size (594mm*841mm). Two styles are given in the template file: vertical and horizontal ones. The authors can choose either of them to prepare their poster presentations. Note that the section titles are generic and the authors can adapt these section titles to their own works. Do not forget to put your paper number after the title and also on the right downside of the poster because the paper number will be the identification for evaluation and prizes.

The authors should prepare their posters using the template file, and convert the finished poster into pdf file. The posters should be prepared in English and the maximum size of pdf file is limited to 20MB. The posters should be sent back to the secretariat (e-mail: dbmc2023@tsinghua.edu.cn) before October 1, 2023. Then, the posters will be printed by XVI DBMC organizing team and post up onsite. To enhance the poster presentation, the authors are also encouraged to prepare a 5min presentation (PPT) and the XVI DBMC will offer onsite display screen for the poster presentations. If you choose to use this function, please submit also your 5min presentation to the secretariat, together with the poster pdf file.
