The DBMC student competition is open for submission. The theme of competition is the smart solutions to the sustainability in the building industry. The competition works can include all concepts, designs, processes, methods related to the science and engineering innovations in building industries. The participants to this competition should have active student status, undergraduate or graduate, registered in high education institutions. The participants should organize themselves into a team with one team leader appointed. Diversifying the geographical representation in the team will be appreciated by the competition organizer.
The team will refer to the student competition guideline to finish their proposal of works, using the competition proposal form. Then, the team is to return this proposal back to the secretariat of XVI DBMC through e-mail (dbmc2023@mail.tsinghua.edu.cn) by June 30, 2023. Once accepted, the team will receive a formal message from the XVI DBMC secretariat. The team will finish their proposed works before the XVI DBMC and prepare the presentation of their finished works. Please refer to the “Student Competitions” menu for to the detailed guideline, proposal form and registration issues.
The XVI DBMC will arrange a special session for student competition. All competition teams will exhibit their finished works through appropriate media, such as poster, real objects, or video presentation. At least one member from each team should be present and takes the responsibility to present the team work to the audience, and the works will be judged by all the visiting delegates. All the exhibiting teams will receive competition certificates and the most praised teams will receive additionally prizes for DBMC student competition, possibly sponsored by commercial partners. Also, all exhibiting teams are invited for the technical visit arranged after the XVI DBMC event.
